Useful Info
Germination1. Combine 5 parts of coarse sand with 1 part compost and moisten well. Fill a container, with drainage holes in the bottom, to within 1/2 inch of the rim.
2. Place the Bauhinia seeds in a shallow bowl and pour hot-to-the-touch water over them. Soak the seeds overnight. Pick out swollen seeds and dispose of the rest.
3. Push the seeds, to the same depth as the seed's width, into the planting mix. Firm the soil over the seeds.
4. Place the container on a heat mat set to between 77 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Bauhinia seeds typically germinate within two weeks.
5. Transplant the seeds into individual containers -- at least 14 inches deep -- when they have their third set of leaves. Bauhinias need adequate room to develop a taproot. Disturb the roots as little as possible when transplanting. (info source: eHow.com)
!!! Watch soil moisture and drainage to avoid rotting the seeds durring germination.
